The Billing Boats 1/25 Roar Ege Viking Ship from the wooden ship model kits range accurately recreates the real-life vessel. This wooden boat kit is highly realistic with many fine details.
This Viking ship, dating from about 1000 A.D. was found in 1957 in the bay at Roskilde in Denmark. The wreck was salvaged in 1962, and after a thorough preservation it was possible to carry out a reconstruction of the vessel. Today the ship is on display at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde.
This kit features plank on frame construction, laser cut plywood keel and frame components, wooden superstructure and decks, hull and deck fittings in brass and/or plastic, mast and spars and rigging cord in various sizes. It includes full-size plan sheets and an instruction manual with English text.
