This beautiful model is based on a traditional sailing ship used along the coasts of the Arabian Peninsula, India and the East of Africa. Up to the 1960s dhows made their commercial journeys from the Persian Gulf to the East of Africa using only sails as a means of propulsion.
This Artesania Latina wooden boat model is highly realistic with many fine details. This is just one of many great kits from the Artesania Latina range. The kit includes laser cut frames for keel and bulkheads, and exotic wood strip for hull planking. Also included is the wooden deck planking, masts and spars, metal and wooden fittings. Cloth for the sails is included, as are rigging cord. The instruction booklet is very detailed, taking you through every step of construction.
